Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz trade blows in new verbal war with Irishman stating: ‘you couldn’t even win the belt UFC made for you’

Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz is the beef that will never die and we all love it.

The pair had a very lucrative two-fight series back in 2016 that they split one win apiece. Fans have been pining for the rubber stamp fight ever since but the pair continue to take their time.

Diaz launched a furious tirade at his old opponent on social media

McGregor is set to complete one trilogy this summer though as it’s all but confirmed he’ll take on Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 on July 10 looking to avenge the loss from UFC 257.

Earlier this week the Irishman suggested that he should have a special belt made for his fights. In fairness, given that he is the biggest money draw in UFC by a country mile, it’s an idea that does have its merits.

When a fan commented Nate Diaz had the BMF belt made for him and Jorge Masvidal, it sparked off that old beef once more.

“Isn’t that crazy! Who’s the real bad motherfucker anyway? Went up two weight divisions on a weeks notice to fight him for that fight. No hesitation. Straight onto my jet. In thru the side door. Surprise, surprise,” McGregor said.

The trilogy fight will always be there

He then took exception to stories that Diaz has partied on yachts in years gone by, and yachts are something McGregor knows a thing or two about.

“You can’t just go around calling regular boats, yachts.

“The rhetoric spread around in this business is disgraceful at times. “Nate was partying on a yacht in Cabo” I demand to see this “yacht”. He was fighting for 20k at that exact time. 20k show. 20k win was his exact purse.”

Diaz then stated why he was in the BMF conversation and said McGregor should focus on his rematch with Poirier following the knockout loss.

“Who went up two weight classes in half a day notice no hesitation and not promotion about it just did it cause I ain’t no bitch how’s that Conor f*** u.

McGregor and Diaz had two real wars

“Whatever u think u did already been done by a real G. Try not to get finished agaaaain.”

Diaz showed an image from when he took on Rory Markham at UFC 111 back in 2010. He would win via KO in the first round.

Still, not the most famous fight on his record and McGregor couldn’t resist.

“What in the Facebook prelims is this s***? Who the f*** is Rory Markham? 177?

“And don’t worry on my next fight bro. You and your face know what I’m like when I go again with it,” McGregor tweeted with a picture of Diaz’s bloody face following their second encounter.

Nate Diaz prevailed in the first meeting with Conor McGregor forcing the Irishman to tap in the second round

“Don’t forget Dustin f***** u up. But he’s scared of me. You are both some bitches. And I slapped kabob he was scared with no counter. And he owned you. So who’s the real king. Me bitch that’s who. King Nate dog,” Diaz replied.

McGregor hit back: “I forget nothing bro and you’ll see that soon enough. And don’t talk to me about a little slap in a scuffle I had them all trapped thinking they were dead.

“You’re the king of nothing. You couldn’t even win your own belt they made for you, let alone any other.”

Ouch. One day we’ll all get the McGregor and Diaz trilogy fight. Surely there is too much money on the table not to do it!

But until then, McGregor faces Poirier in July and Diaz returns to the octagon for the first time since that BMF loss in late 2019 to face Leon Edwards in May.
