Dow's 818-point drop led by losses for Boeing, Travelers stocks

Behind declines for shares of Boeing and Travelers, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is slumping Monday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, -2.48% was most recently trading 818 points (2.4%) lower, as shares of Boeing BA, -5.48% and Travelers TRV, -3.90% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Boeing’s shares are down $10.94, or 5.0%, while those of Travelers have declined $5.85 (3.7%), combining for an approximately 111-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Goldman Sachs GS, -4.07%, Honeywell International Inc. HON, -3.55%, and Dow Inc. DOW, -4.10%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.58-point swing.
