The Dow Jones Industrial Average is rallying Tuesday morning with shares of IBM and Honeywell International Inc. leading the way for the blue-chip average. Shares of IBM IBM, +3.33% and Honeywell International Inc. HON, +2.95% are contributing about 25% of the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +1.59% is trading 496 points, or 1.5%, higher. IBM’s shares are up $6.02 (4.4%) while those of Honeywell International Inc. are up $7.32, or 3.3%, combining for an approximately 88-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are American Express AXP, +3.41%, Goldman Sachs GS, +2.53%, and 3M MMM, +1.68%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
