Dow's 318-point climb highlighted by gains for Chevron, UnitedHealth stocks

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Monday morning with shares of Chevron and UnitedHealth leading the way for the price-weighted average. The Dow DJIA, +0.72% is trading 318 points (0.9%) higher, as shares of Chevron CVX, +1.97% and UnitedHealth UNH, +2.93% have contributed around 25% of the index’s intraday rally. Chevron’s shares are up $2.50, or 2.6%, while those of UnitedHealth have gained $10.20 (2.5%), combining for a roughly 84-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Intel INTC, +1.34%, American Express AXP, +1.59%, and Amgen Inc. AMGN, +1.37%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.58-point swing.
