Funds for all the family: Wealthy entrepreneurs are investing their wealth in Ireland

It’s the new must-have for the wealthy: the family office. Mark Goodman, son of beef baron Larry Goodman, set up Bellingham Capital and bought National Organics, the owner of Bunalun, a pioneer in organic consumer foods. Bellcap plans “to invest in sustainable market-leading agricultural, food and renewables businesses across Ireland and the UK”. Chairman Brian O’Kelly, a former Goodbody corporate finance head, is a wise choice, and the chief financial officer, Shane McMahon, is ex-KPMG, maintaining the Goodman family’s umbilical cord with the firm.

Bunalun co-founder Jacqueline Daly is married to Michael Kelly of Fineos, who sold €31 million of stock in his software company’s 2019 flotation in Australia and has a stake worth €430 million. The couple might be considering their own family
